Remedial Massage Therapist and Qualified Pilates Instructor

Tell us about you – who is your family, where do you live?

I live in a little coastal suburb on the Northern end of the Gold Coast with my partner Jayden and our beautiful Sphynx cat Lola.

What got you into your current profession?

I started my journey with massage therapy after being in the Pilates industry for several years (I still am!), working with a range of clients to increase mobility, functionality & strength. I wanted to further enhance my offerings to create a more holistic approach to my client's health & wellbeing – so I decided to complete a Diploma of Remedial Massage!

I have trained in both spa and clinic settings, which I like to pull from both worlds when treating my clients - aiming to bring balance to mind & body.

After working predominately with women, especially in the Pilates world, my remedial focus now has evolved into women’s health – taking a holistic approach, treating the body as a whole and finding the root cause, not just treating the symptoms.

Why are you passionate about working with mothers?

I have always loved working with mothers and supporting women on their journey to better health. My journey with women's health started with guiding women through their post-natal recovery using Pilates. It’s since evolved to be the focus of my remedial career.

I am passionate about treating musculoskeletal conditions, managing chronic pain, and educating women on prevention so they can live their best, most functional and pain-free lives.

I am also passionate about supporting mothers through the ongoing changes of their pre & post-natal journey (and beyond!). I aim to educate mothers on the importance of self-care & create space for them to use my sessions to replenish and fill up their cup to be their best for those around them.

What do you like to do outside of work?

When I am not at work, I love to get out and enjoy all the beauty The Goldy has to offer! You will find me doing any of the following: lots of beach walks, ocean swims, Yoga & Pilates. You will also find me in the kitchen baking GF Banana bread, tending to my plants & at the local Sunday markets, coffee & brekky wrap in hand.

What is your one piece of advice for first-time mothers?

Trust your intuition, you know what’s best for you and bub.

Where can we find you on socials?

You can find me @massageby.aimee
