All About Nutrition
Nutrition is a holistic approach to health that uses food as medicine to support the healthy functioning of the body.
Our nutritionists are passionate about encouraging a diverse intake of whole foods to meet health needs, and high-quality supplementation where necessary.
Nutrition and nutrient status play an important role in preconception planning, pregnancy, and postpartum care. Growing a baby relies on many nutrients and biochemical processes, so it is crucial to understand these nutrients and ensure the mother does not become deficient, which can lead to energy, mood, and hormonal issues.
Postpartum, it is important to measure nutrient levels via blood testing within six weeks of giving birth and to establish a plan for rebuilding levels using a food-first approach and carefully selected supplementation.
