Meet Lauren Monaghan

Doctor of Chinese Medicine + Registered Acupuncturist

Hello, I’m Lauren… I live, work, and play on Yuggera and Gubbi Gubbi country, spanning from North Brisbane to the Sunshine Coast. My small but cherished family includes my two cats, Luna and Shelby, my wonderful partner, Esther, and my beautiful mum, Bev. I’m also close with my siblings: Jared, Alyse, Caitlin, and Seonaid.

My journey into natural health began in 2013 when I started studying Naturopathy and transitioned from a phlebotomy job to a clinic assistant role in an acupuncture clinic on the Sunshine Coast. Although initially sceptical, I was impressed by the results of Chinese Medicine and returned to study it in 2016.

I'm passionate about women's health, especially hormonal and menstrual health, driven by my own experiences with endometriosis and painful periods. I aim to normalise periods and vulvovaginal health and to alleviate the stigma surrounding these issues.

Outside of work, I enjoy gardening and spending time outdoors, whether in my garden, a national park, or at Bunnings, and cherish quality time with my loved ones.
