Meet Mimi McGirvan

Clinic Coordinator

I’m Mimi, and I live in Brisbane’s bayside with my partner and our two dogs, Roger and Aggie.

How did I become the Clinic Coordinator at Maia? I started my career as an Environmental Scientist but decided to leave that path to study Midwifery because I have a genuine passion for women’s health, particularly in the areas of fertility and pregnancy. After experiencing a range of chronic health issues from being on the pill, I quickly realised, during my Midwifery placement, that I wanted to support women in integrating holistic and natural health practices into their lives before they reached the hospital to birth their bubbas.

This shift led me to pursue a Bachelor of Health Science in Clinical Nutrition at Endeavour College, and soon after, I joined the Maia Mothers team. Now, I’m currently studying fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum nutrition with Oh Baby Nutrition. I’m also a qualified Purpose and Spiritual Life Coach and run seasonal women’s circles to help women connect with the energies and practices of their inner and outer seasons. My mission is to empower women to realign all aspects of their lives with nature—through nutrition, healthy habits, spiritual practices, and finding their purpose.
