Meet Rachel Hodge
International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)
Rachel Hodge is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and mother of four. She lives on Brisbane’s south side with her husband, Matt, and their two boys and two girls, ranging in age from 6 to 18. Her own difficult breastfeeding experience in 2006 led her to pursue a career supporting other mothers. After receiving help from the Australian Breastfeeding Association, Rachel trained as a volunteer counsellor before becoming an IBCLC to offer more in-depth support.
Outside of work, Rachel enjoys reading mysteries, playing the piano, and spending time with her family. Her advice to new mums is simple: trust your instincts. While others may offer advice, you know your child better than anyone.
