Maia Women's Circle - June 22nd 2025 - Yule/Winter Solstice
Maia Women’s Circles - a space for deep connection, personal growth and celebration of the natural rhythms of life. Drawing from the Wheel of the Year and Inner Seasons, these gatherings offer women the chance to unite, reflect and support one another on a journey of transformation.
Wheel of the Year celebrations are Celtic/Pagan Festivals that celebrate the changing of the seasons - helping us to align ourselves with the natural world.
Yule is the festival that celebrates the Winter Solstice - the longest night and shortest day of the year. From this point onwards, the days continue to lengthen until the Spring Equinox - where day and night are of equal length yet again.
Yule is a potent time for self-reflection, as the long night provides darkness to delve into our inner selves - to release what we no longer need & set intentions for coming longer days. Honouring the darkness looks like nourishing yourself through rest, cleansing practices & self-care.
Yule customs and traditions are some of the most well-celebrated in today’s society - with Christmas trees, yule logs, bright lights, gifts and a divine birth - all coming from Pagan origins.
